SAIE FAIR 2025, Italy’s leading trade fair for the construction sector, once again brought together the country’s largest community of companies, professionals, and associations in the industry. This year’s edition took place in Bari at the Fiera del Levante from October 23rd to 25th.
ENEA, a long-standing partner of the event, presented three major initiatives aimed at fostering innovation, training, and technical dialogue.

On October 24th, in collaboration with the Order of Engineers of Bari, the Order of Architects of Bari, the Regional Agency for Housing and Living (ARCA), the University of Basilicata, Rina Consulting, TERA, Steel Tech, R.I. Group, and Pedone Working, ENEA hosted a conference alongside SAIE FAIR 2025. The event focused on the progress of energy renovation works on a public housing building in Margherita di Savoia, Puglia – Italy’s demonstration site in the REHOUSE project: “Renovation packages for holistic improvement of EU’s buildings efficiency, maximizing RES generation and cost-effectiveness.”
The building in Margherita di Savoia is one of four demonstration sites across Europe selected for the development and testing of innovative technologies. These efforts aim to create eight integrated renovation packages that are sustainable, efficient, and replicable.
The REHOUSE-dedicated conference took place on October 24th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It marked the third chapter in a storytelling initiative on energy efficiency in buildings, launched by ENEA in 2021. Over the years, ENEA has organized numerous workshops and events focused on energy retrofitting and sustainable design as key drivers of the decarbonization process in the Apulia Region.
ENEA’s work contributes to combating energy poverty and supports the EU’s ambitious goal of achieving zero emissions by 2050. The initiative also aims to raise awareness at the European level, encouraging citizens to adopt more sustainable energy behaviours.
During the conference, experts explored the renovation strategies applied to the building envelope and the integration of high-efficiency systems. Special attention was given to reducing environmental impact and increasing the share of energy generated from renewable sources.
