REHOUSE Participated in a Webinar – Fast Technological & Energy Housing Retrofit for Decarbonisation: Research Approaches and Models to Compare

ENEA experts Monica Misceo and Vincenza Luprano, attended, on behalf of REHOUSE project, the online webinar “Fast technological & energy housing retrofit for decarbonisation: research approaches and models to compare”, that took place, online, last April 15th in collaboration with experts of FASTECH  project, involving the Department of Planning Design Technology of Architecture of La Sapienza University of Rome, Department of Architecture of the University of Naples, Federico II, and Department of Engineering of the University of Campania, “Luigi Vanvitelli”.

The meeting was organized by “La Sapienza University of Rome” within the scope of co-design activities of FASTECH (Research Project of National Interest PRIN 2022), involving three universities engaged in the development of retrofit scenarios for low-cost and progressive residential building stock, aimed at improving energy efficiency. The aim is to reduce energy demand and greenhouse gas emissions in a short time by exploiting opportunities related to self-consumption from renewable energy sources and the formation of energy communities.

The webinar was a valuable opportunity to exchange and compare methodologies and intervention models, used in the two projects, focusing on retrofit interventions on public housing oriented to decarbonization of the housing stock, with special attention to the environmental and social aspects of redevelopment processes.
