On June 15, 2023, a collaborative workshop brought together six EU projects to present and discuss their work at the intersection of building digitalization, Building Information Modelling (BIM), and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The discussion revealed how projects will pave the way to future reference implementations on several application fields, addressing the needs of relevant stakeholders and presenting in quantified terms the short- and long-term impact of the project activities, from policy to practice, and across the whole building life cycle. The workshop showed how these projects will contribute to existing and/or the development of new technical standards.
REHOUSE was represented by CARTIF in this workshop showing how the project is working towards accelerating the EU building renovation rate through the development and demonstration of promising technology innovations. REHOUSE’s main innovation presented during the workshops was related to the applicability of the BIM-based workflow and the Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) methodology through the development and deployment of a Digital Building Logbook (DBL) on the project, covering all the phases of a building renovation project.
The workshop showed how collective efforts are driving tangible advancements in the field of energy-efficient in building retrofits.
